Inspired by the Greek Mythology of Persephone - Queen of the Underworld, Goddess of Springtime. The goddess of duality - ruler of death but bringer of life.

The lore of Persephone begins with her abduction one afternoon by Ruler of the Underworld, Hades, who became deeply infatuated with her after spotting her in a field. He captures her and brings her to the Underworld where he claims her as his wife against her will. Upon learning of the news, Persephone's mother Demeter (Goddess of the Harvest) became deeply depressed, neglected all her duties, and halted the growth of agriculture which caused wide swept famine across the lands. Upon reaching a compromise with Zeus, it was agreed upon the Persephone would be allowed to return home with her mother Demeter for 1/2 of the year (Spring & Summer) while she would remain with her husband & abductor, Hades, in the underworld for the remaining last 1/2 (Fall & Winter). This compromise is used to explain the change of seasons.
